Stroud School of Sewing is situated on the edge of Stroud Gloucestershire,in the heart of the Five Valleys.The workroom is in my home overlooking the garden (an ongoing project!) and I live within easy access of the A419,A46 and M5.Car parking is easy and safe on local roads.

I have spent all my working life in Fashion, as a designer and pattern cutter.
I have worked for Marks and Spencer, Next and Laura Ashley amongst others and I am fully conversant with modern manufacturing techniques.
I have a postgraduate teaching qualification and taught design, pattern cutting and sewing to young adults in full time education and to adults on evening courses.

I currently design and make bespoke garments for private clients, mostly bridal and special occasionwear. I know how hard it can be to find something special to wear that fits well, and it's only when a garment fits well that you feel confident in your appearance.

Stroud School of Sewing came about because I am often asked by people who sew how they can improve their skills, how they can get better fitting garments and how they can learn to make their own patterns?
The answer,of course,came quite naturally as these things often do -
so here we are!
I can offer you tuition in sewing, using and making patterns through a range of courses, in small groups or one to one. You can join a course or try something out on one of my 'taster' days.
